Just a full array of emotions from this. Every time one of these happen I’m brought back to my Freshman English class on April 16, 2007 in Blacksburg, VA as those events unfolded.

My heart breaks for all of those families who now have to live with the trauma of this senseless moment.

The only thing controversial about this topic is that some people believe that it is. For a topic to be controversial doesn't there have to be two legitimate sides to the issue? What other side is there? 99.999999% of people believe this is a horrible thing.

My heart sank this morning when a special report interrupted the usual morning programming. Knew it wasn’t good especially when that happens. So tired of the same cycle of senseless tragedies and violence everywhere.

At this point it’s now you’re extremely lucky if you haven’t be involved or connected to a mass shooting.

I don’t find the facts to be controversial. The conversation afterwards may be but the fact is the events that unfolded today are just sad. Between this and the Texas camp flood in July, I’m just beyond sad. As someone who experienced 9/11 firsthand, I can’t stop thinking about how these affected family members feel and how their lives will be forever different.

I have a daughter starting school next week and it’s sad to worry about her going outside for recess or going to the church for service once a month.

Currently sitting in line to pick up my youngest from school - she's the same age as the precious babies who were lost today. I can't stop from tearing up. I can't imagine the fear and the pain - but it's far from the first time we've been confronted with this nightmare. If it's controversial to say it's horrific that we're experiencing yet ANOTHER school shooting, then we are beyond lost. Holding that community, and all of us who are grieving such evil, in my heart.

Don't be shocked if we see investigative subpoenas in multiple states and jurisdictions with respect to government spending on police and other items. Orange County, FL is one of them.

Did visit the school last week during teacher set up.
Left manifesto ... wide range of issues ... but it was not a random location.

It’s an issue and should be addressed, but historical results following each of these events has shown nothing will be done and the same things will be discussed at the next one…

I'm going to suggest that's not true. MN and CA both have the strictest gun control in the nation. Both have had incidents. There is no correlation. Mental illness however - 100% of the shooters have suffered from mental illness. Every one of them. But sure, let's make this political and blame red states. That's what Gov. Newsom did today. Doing something to do something is not the same thing as making a difference.

There were also two incidents of swatting (calling in fake shootings) at two colleges, last week, on their first day back. Luckily they were fake and no one got hurt. But, it costs money to send in teams against shooters and have to evacuate everyone. And the trauma those students and parents went through, fake or not.
