My daughters Drill Team is going to Disney World for a week. Their plan gives them a hotel breakfast coupon and lunch OR dinner coupon for which ever theme park they are in that day. I am wondering what should I give her for spending money? Any input would be greatly appreciated. They are staying at the Beach Club. Each day they will be in a different park, where would I tell her to go eat lunch? How much would be reasonable for souveigners? Are the special rides extra?

I have never had the Cape May breakfast so I can not comment on that. However, I would recommend that you go to www.allearsnet.com. There you will find menus for most of the counter service (fast food) and sit down restaurants at DW. If you daughter is planning on eating just at counter service places, I would suggest approx. $8-10 per meal to be on the safe side. If she is interested in eating at any restaurants, a reservation would be recommended. Spending money for souveniers is harder to judge. There are a lot of things to buy at DW. While growing up my parents always gave us $50 to spend for souveneirs. This always was enough money for us to buy at least 2 things (shirt and a stuffed animal, etc.). I am sure you daughter will have a great time whatever you decide to do!

I can sympathize, my son went to Dallas for Cotton Bowl during New Years and it cost us a fortune! Okay, since she is getting 2 meals in with her plan already have $10 for an additional meal, also snack money say $5. The $50 sounds good for souveniers and if she is not a big eater the two meals will probably be enough on some days so she would have money left. I always send extra on top of food and blow money, for just in cases, lol. My son did very well, spent all he wanted and brought me home a good deal of change I wasn't expecting. They will probably enjoy the rides more than spending the money. Good luck and may she have a safe trip.

Just to answer the second part of your question, no the rides/shows do not cost extra. She will be able to ride all rides and see all shows within each of the parks for the single price of an admission ticket.

Wow, so exciting for her. Will this be her first time there? Beach Club is beautiful. I'm sure she'll have a great time. Is she able to pick where she wants to eat, or do they have to eat as a group? If she just needs to buy counter service meals, then I think $10-15 for a meal and another $10 for snacks would be fine. Souvenier money is harder to estimate. Does she have an idea of what she might want. For example a t-shirt will cost around $25, a small stuffed character only about $8. If its not going to break your fmamily budget, I would give her $100 for souveniers - especially if this is her first time. Plus, she might want to pick up little things for the rest of your family. Hope she has a great time!

I would do $20 a day for add'l food & drinks, then $100 for souvies, if you can swing it:thumbsup2

Depending on your budget, $100 for souvenirs, and $15 - 20 a day for a thrid meal and snacks.
