School Swap - CLOSED & COMPLETE

that's just adorable estherhead! love stuff like that. my dh and i were at a wake on time and he had a chinese lantern from the epcot swap on his pants! we were standing there in line and i look down at his pants and there it is just stuck there!:rotfl:

i'm hoping to finish mine up this weekend also.

I'm done! Yippee! Just heads up, because I had all those squares cut for the individual title squares I just threw them in the baggies. I also threw in a button that matched. I just thought everyone should have them because they look right together.

Also, I have to tell you a funny story. I made these really cute apples from Doodlecharms. I had them all done, two per title. But when I went to stick them on, I was missing two. I looked everywhere. Missing two.

Finally, I look over at the baby and she has something in her mouth. My apples! She had eaten the fake little paper apples. So funny. Don't worry, I made two more so no one got bonus slobber in their swap items.

 on finishing!!!! I bet your stuff looks great. Just let me know when you mail it to me.

The story of your DD eating the paper apples is adorable!!! You need to add that to your journalling when you use these pieces in your scrapbook!

:lmao: That's too funny Holl! Not the wake part, but the pants part! ;)

Ok, quick question for those in the Kindergarten group. I have been stumped as to what to do for it when I suddenly had a bit of inspiration. What do y'all think about Kindergarten graduation? Do y'all have use for that? Has someone already done it? Thanks!

We don't have a graduation. The school decided that having a graduation for the Kinders minimized the 8th graders graduation:confused3 The things they worry about. I'd much rather hear them say "We just don't feel like doing it."

Seriously, I agree, don't sugar coat it! Ok, thanks for the input, I had another thought as well, so I will go with that one! :thumbsup2

Hi there. I am almost done. I have half of one group I need to finish. Then after that I can get started on the DHS swap. Whew....:woohoo:

i have a question. i am doing the preschool group right now and is it ok if i do puzzle pieces with a b c and 1 2 3 on 6 individual puzzle pieces instead of double matting my shapes i would have 6 pp instead of 4 pp??
does that make any sense??

Yes you can do that. Just be sure to embellish 2 ways. Sounds cute!:goodvibes

so i've decided (with a little help from my friend- thanks AWM) that i am shadowing the puzzle piece and putting the letters on top. so that's ok right?

and for my other thing for that group i'm doing a paper piece. but they are little so i'm going to do 2 or 3 pieces so it all ties together. is that ok also?

me again!

i have embossed the puzzle pieces and put the #'s and letters on top. i tried inking, stickleing, the piece and just the #'s and letters and both ways it looked yucky. i am leaving it alone. i hope it looks ok. i showed it to mom and she said sometimes too much takes away from the piece.

i made scissors, bottle of glue and a crayon for the paper piece for the 2nd element of my group. i did stickle the crayon and the glue bottle. and for the scissors i put a stone where the screw is in the middle. i also hope that's ok.

i am trying to post a pic but my computer will not cooperate! i'll keep trying.
back to work.

is it just me or does everyone have swap anxiety??? i completly stress over each thing!
i think i drove AWM nutty last night!!!!

I would think most of us can admit to some anxiety about wanting to do good work.

keep in mind that they were not glued down yet when i took this pic. looking at they are not straight. they are now. and i made the scissors but i did not put the layer on the handles because they looked better just silver.
