Well both my darling DD's are fast asleep in great anticipation for their residentials tomorrow princess: princess:

And YES they are both going to be away on the same night and NO they are not in the same school year, BUT they do attend the same school ;) Our eldest is off for 2 nights and our youngest is away for 1.

Their bags are all sorted and it look's like they're going away for at least a week, what with spare outfits, Wellies etc....:rolleyes1

Just put a little pic of the 4 of us in their suitcases, with a little goodnight note

hope they both have a lovely time x

I'm pretty sure they're both going to have a wonderful trip, put is this way they've cost enough
But I'm really going to miss them both, especially all the bickering :lmao:

I've just come back as a member of staff from a residential trip. We had a lovely time but please don't put notes or photos in their cases as they triggered homesickness in quite of lot of the children on our trip.

Hi Libby, I appreciate what your saying, but my DD's love to have a little family picture to take with them, just so they can give each of us a little kiss goodnight

And the note tells them to have fun, and to remind each of them of a little thing, like cleaning their teeth....:rolleyes1

This isn't their 1st trip away with school & I'm pretty sure they're both having such a wonderful time :goodvibes

 Aww bless them x

They were all year 3s and it was their first trip away. We had half a dozen upset by their notes and another group that were upset that they didn't get a note when the others did!

All in all it was wonderful trip - it was just bedtime that was a little emotional. We solved this by reading a bedtime story by torch light until all the children were asleep (8 chapters of the Faraway Tree!)

Karen - did your girls have a good time?

Well youngest DD is home, and she had a fab time, she tell's me she was the 1st to sleep and the last one awake this morning...;) (when she want's to sleep, Nothing & I mean nothing will stop her :lmao: )

She took a camera and I laughed when she showed me her photo's, we have a picture of a bowl of weetabix, beans on toast, toast with jam & a cup of apple juice (do you think she's seen too many pics of food on here!! :rotfl2: )

Anyway after a bath and hairwash, she eventually gave up and fell asleep at 8 princess:
Eldest DD return's tomorrow princess:

So happy that your youngest Dd had a great time, love the sound of her photo's  :cutie: .x.

Well our eldest DD is back and she had a lovely time, apart from the "awful food" as she put's it :lmao: (she is a fussy madam!), most of us wouldn't mind bacon and sausages for breakast but not my DD's :rolleyes1

She's been doing loads of activities including, zipwire, archery, abseiling to name but a few, in total they did 9 different activities :thumbsup2

She's now fast asleep in bed after a good soak in the bath ;)

It's great to have both my DD's home though

Our eldest is shattered but she loved everything except the BMX bikes (boring!!) :goodvibes , I think we may find it difficult to drag her out of bed in the morning ;)
