As I sit here and look at my DD's picture, the best yet! It is great! Well it reminds me that when my son was in 11th grade, I received the wrong kids pictures :confused3 I called and found out that my DS and he friends all switched cards on the photographer... so we all got the wrong pics, the studio wouldn't work with us and I never got those pics :furious: . Ahhh freaking kids! I could of missed out on a great pic! Be warned and tell your kids to NEVER do that! LOL

Kids. :rotfl2: Console yourself with the fact that most school pictures turn out awful, so you probably didn't miss out on much.

DD16 got her school pictures a few days ago. This afternoon we're headed to the Picture People at the mall. Her school pictures weren't too bad, but they just didn't look like her. Hard to explain. :rotfl: I'm hoping the Picture People can capture her personality. :)

That's great that your dd's pics came out great. I find that the quick school pics and sports pics never really seem to come out so great. My DD just had her school pics done 2 weeks ago and I have yet to receive them, but if they are anything like they were last year, I know they won't even make it up on the wall. I took my DD to Picture People last weekend just in case. I can always count on those pics to come out goodl!!

Ya, know they school photo people offer "blemush remover" LOL, a lil photoshop work! Too funny, but hey it works!

so we all got the wrong pics

Why didn't you just call the other parents and switch them yourselves?

I can TOTALLY see my kid doing something like that.

I could see my daughter doing that also and thinking that was sooo funny.. :confused3

This year is the first year I didn't buy the school pictures. I always get pictures done somewhere else even if I buy them and I finally decided the teachers won't think I am a bad Mom if I don't buy the pictures. Why do I think they'll even know if I don't buy the pictures? :rotfl:

Glad your daughters turned out great!! :goodvibes

When my daughter was in Kindergarten, they took the spring pictures, which are pics with an actual bacground (like against a prop tree, or near a fake log cabin...LOL). Well they send the pictures home with the kids so the parents can preview the packages before deciding to buy (something I wish they did with the fall pictures). Well my wonderful 5 year old daughter decided to take the pack of "sticker" pictures that come in it, and stick one on every kid on the bus.....grrrrrr. Those pictures are expensive enough, but I never plan on buying the sticker sheet, no point for us really....

She made alot of friends that day...and I can kinda see the humor in it now...:)

My blonde haired blue eyed DD15 wore a turquoise shirt on picture day. We chose a neutral brown mottled background instead of one of the blue, red, green, etc. When her pics came back her hair was darker, her shirt was brown, and her beatiful baby blues were brown!!!! I couldn't believe it. I called the company which happens to have an office in town. They are working to see if they can reprint them correctly. If not, we'll be doing retakes.

I just wanted to say, I love your avatar. That is my favorite part of PoTC.

Our school offered retouching for the first time this year. It was an extra $5.00, but it was so worth it. When you've got teens, it's almost a must. My daughter is like me. I never had any real acne problems, but my son is like his father. It was WELL worth the $5.00 for his pics.

I agree that the spring pictures are normally better (cute story about the peel off sticker pics too LOL), but they're at a quadruple price of the fall pics in our area. Well, it has been our experience anyway. This year our fall pictures were VERY expensive. I'm not sure if it's because my kids entered the high school, or if the district got a new photography company to do the pics. Hopefully spring pics won't quadruple the price of what we just paid. If it does, we're not buying any of them.

Our pictures are always pretty good in the fall. We have an option of gel backgrounds and I have always found them to look really cheap. I can't understand why anyone would pay more money for a bright green, blue, or red background. I always go with the standard gray and then I always have the kids wear a simple shirt that accents the gray background. We've had excellent results and they always look more professional than some of their friends pics do.
