School ends...Disney bound

I am a teacher, and school will end May 31, we leave June 1st. Heck yes. Just found out one of the the guys I coach with is going to be at Disney the same week. Our families are huge on Disney and Star Wars.

Just wondering if this trip will have the odd factors as last summer. One day in MGM I was walking to Star Tours when I hear my name. A lady I had worked with several years ago was there with her family. Two days earlier we ran into a teacher and coach from my school and thier family. Second trip to MGM ran into a football coach from a school near my hometown. His wife tought at my old elementry school.

Man I love the Disney experience.

I also work in a school and we are out on May 30th, (as long as we don't have any snow days). We are leaving on June 1st as well. We have started a count down in my house. Have fun. I know we will

Well we are deep in the heart of ole Texas, well actually near the coast. So if I have a snow, well I just might take one extra day of school for that joy. Uselly only snow we get is in a cup with sryup on in a sno-cone...LOL.

(knocking on wood) It actually has been a very mild winter so far here in Central IL. However, Jan & Feb are usually are our coldest and snowiest months. So hopefully we won't get hit too badly. I have already told my boss that she is only allowed to have one snow day because I am going on vacation regardless. On a happier, (not so safe note), I work in a school district that rarely calls off school for bad weather. There would have to be 18+" of snow on the ground, and 1.5" of ice and 75+mile and hour wind for there to be no school. (Yes, I am exaggerating, but just slightly )

Must be a teacher thing! We, too, leave immediately after school gets out for the summer. We'll be there from 6/2 - 6/15. I can't wait!!!!!!

I teach too!! We are trying our first trip on Spring Break here soon....otherwise we have made it for free dining last year before school started in August. In 2005 I took unpaid days to go during the fall...I loved that trip..LOW crowds compared to August...but the FREE dining plus not taking unpaid leave was too good this year. I hope March will be good too!

DH is staying back to work while we take a girls trip! I do love time off as a teacher.
