School Calendar?

I am sure this has been posted, and I checked through all the DL FAQs,etc... but no luck -
WHere can I find the calendar of when CA schools go back in?
I was thinking of coming to DL around Aug 26th for 4 nights.

Hi Liz,

It's so crazy here. The kids usually go back to school anytime from the last week in August to the day after Labor Day.

Of course, different schools/cities have different back to school days.

Thanks...we are just missing DL so much. We went to WDW in January but still miss DL. Loved WDW but it was so overwhelming with planning and size and such a long plane ride for us - its nice to 'hop down' to DL for a few days!

Gosh... it varies so much around here. There isn't any real set schedule but I'd imagine that would be a slower time. As most of the schools in Nothern California go back around mid-August. But then, you have a lot of year round schools, private schools, etc. that follow totally different schedules. If you really want a slower time after Labor Day weekend would be the best.

Also, you gotta remember lots of other states are within driving distance like NV, UTAH & Oregon.

Most of the schools in the Valley (Phoenix Metro) start back to school around the end of July, 1st week in August.

And, we are definitely within driving distance of DL!

If it helps at all, we were there last year for the last week of August and it was fabulous. The Saturday and Sunday were very busy but the Monday to Friday part was really quiet in the parks. We walked on a lot of the rides including Indy, Pirates, Soarin' and Monsters Inc. It was really hot but the only time we really felt the heat was on our walk back to Hojo's.

We live in Northern Ca and school starts back up Aug 25th this year.
