I love school bread. When we bought one this past May, it was obvious it had been in the refrigerated case overnight...very dry dry dry I know, we should have taken it back and asked for another one. It was so bad that trip, I’m not quite sure I will try one again.

agreed! Last trip, a "Viking" thought he would 'share' one with me. I told him that this is EXACTLY how the Viking Wars got started....one of them tried to steal a School Bread and...well...History was impacted forever!

After reading all the hoopla over school bread, just had to have some. Mine was so dry, could hardly finish it. Dh was amazed that it had such a following.
Thought for sure it had to be an off day so tried it again a few days later at a different time - nope, the same dry bread - decided it definitely wasn't for me. Really would like to know how others find it so tasty.

it is just what you say dry bread with a custard filling.... I like it not love it... But it depends on what kind of dessert you enjoy. Dole whips I hate them my wife loves them. If you like less sweet than school bread is for you if not you will likely just say its ok or not like it at all. Do not get zebra domes either had them multiple times just do not like them...

Agree with you on zebra domes - not my dessert!! Dh doesn't like them either.

DH and I got the school bread and sweet pretzel last trip, and were't crazy about either. We thought the treats at Karamell-Kuche in Germany were better!

I was in line with a berry cream.puff and a troll horn.. and they brought out a fresh tray of school bread.. I asked her to please add one.. and I am soooooooo glad I did.. it wasnt dry at all.. and it tasted like my favorite Starbucks drink.. a hot chai latte made with coconut milk.. soooooo good... seriously bummed I didnt get 3 of them instead of the other ones!!!
