I finally tried it and loved it! Way too big for me to finish alone but the price was amazingly low..it was huge! The custard tasted really buttery and I love anything with coconut on it.

Thanks for letting us know what you thought of the School bread....I cannot remember if I have tried it before or not.. it is in the Norway bakery?

We tried school bread for the first time on our August trip. It is SOOOOO good! Our family of 5 generally split one and another treat for a snack. They are large. And, yes, they are at the Norway bakery. Try the Almond pretzel, too!

Thanks for responding on the school bread and can I recommend the Rice Dream from there....they have such great pastries..

We tried it on our last trip and loved it also. Also tried the sweet pretzel which was really good. We got them as snacks on the dining plan but thought the prices would have been really reasonable for the size and yumminess (?) of them both.

I have that on my list to try this trip, looks GREAT!! Just saw a great photo in the reviews section of it also:)

I so wanted to try to the school bread, but had just eaten a huge lunch at Tangerine Cafe before stopping by the bakery. The school bread looked amazing, but when I saw the size of it I knew I never would finish it. Make sure you're hungry when getting this treat.

please describe this school bread in detail, and maybe with a pic, too?

I don't have a pic but it's basically a huge bavarian cream doughnut with frosting and coconut on it. There was a lot of custard inside it and a little bit on top. It was basically heaven on a plate  Now I want to go back and get another.

I also tried lefse which was also good. It was a flatbread with butter, cinnamon, and sugar.

School bread is the one MUST have in all of WDW for me. And, it's even better because I don't have to share it! DD10 is allergic to eggs so she cannot have any. DD8 and DH don't like it so . . . it's the one item (in possibly the entire world) that I don't have to share with anyone! I usually get 2--one for Illuminations and then save the other for breakfast in the morning.

DH doesn't like coconut *gasp* so more for me. The last time we went, on the last night I grabbed 3 to bring home with me. :teeth:
