We are planning to cruise the weekend before Thanksgiving as our school district has the whole week off. ( The kids will be missing Thur-Fri, as well.) Will my 9 and 11 yr. olds be the only ones their age or are the ships usually full of all ages all through the year? I know it won't be as crowded(good thing) but I'd hate to have their clubs empty. What should we expect?

I don't think it matters when you go, kids are on every cruise we were on the wonder last nov. 8-11 and there were lots.

I think parents like me....take their kids out when ever they want....My guess would be that the parks aren't totally empty of kids and the cruise won't be either....:D

Also, you have to keep in mind that some school systems (like
the one my kids go to) operate on a "year round" schedule. The
kids are in school for NINE weeks and out of school for THREE
weeks "all year round". Yes, even in the summer. This schedule
allows us to take a lot of vacations during non-peak times.

We've decided to go in Nov as well. What cruise are you taking ? We are going on the Nov 2nd Eastern cruise. My DS will be 9 and my DD 6.

We're cruising the Eastern Caribb Nov 30th. Our son will be 10.5 and in the 5th grade. And we know another family (homeschooled) is cruising Nov 30th also. They have DD10 and DS7 and DDs friend 10. So yes here are children cruising in November.

I agree with the previous poster...I don't think it matters what month you cruise in...there are
going to be kids!!!

We have cruised the past two times in January..the last one..the week kids were suppose to be back in school from Christmas break..and I think they said there was something like
900 kids on this cruise..

Although the kids seemed to be smaller...there were plenty dd's age...just turned 9 and
lots of pre-teens and teens also.

Thanks for the info. We are crusing Nov. 21 for 3 days-then doing wdw for 4!

AnnaB....We're with you on Nov. 2nd. Just about six months!:)

My3kids- Great ! Now we just have to wait the 6 months. I assume you have 3 kids :) What are there ages ? Mine are DS-9 and DD 6.

Early November cruises are likely to have a lot of kids - all from NJ. Teacher's Convention for this year is Nov 7 and 8 and a lot of us take the whole week for vacation. (Mine have off the 6th for teacher inservice too) We cruised last year but are probably going to the World this year.
