Anyone know if this is a pepsi or coke place?

I know this isn't Disney related but the DISboards has the most knowledgeable people.

Also if you have any other Schlitterbahn help it would be appreciated. Never been. We usually do Disney somewhere but we aren't this summer!

I believe they had coke products there when we went last time. One of the great things about schlitterbahn is you can bring your own cooler /picnic in the parks. (no alcohol or glass)

I'm pretty sure it's a Coke place. They have a ride over in the original part of the park that is related to Coke straws, and I swear the last time we went a couple of years ago they had plastic bands you could buy and wear that had a coke logo on it, and you could redeem little tabs on the band for sodas from various places. They also have a meal bracelet you can prepurchase and wear, and a bracelet that is just tabs with dollar amounts on it you can prepurchase. This is so people don't have to carry money around with them at the park and let it get soggy or lost.

Schlitterbahn is one of our family's favorite places to go! The biggest thing I always tell people who are new to the park for is that there are some tubing attractions that dump off in the river. This bothers some people who don't know, and they end up dragging their small kids into deep water on tubes. It looks like your kids are 8 and 10 though so I think you guys should be okay if they're strong swimmers.

There was a living social deal for the area of Texas I live in (DFW) that was two nights staying on Schlitterbahn property in their new condos for $129, which is a steal compared to the price they regularly are per night. I think you could buy up to 2 of the promotions to combine for 4 days. I don't know if that deal still exists, but you might sign up for an account to check up on it and see.

My biggest advice if you are going for multiple days is to pace yourself. My family jokingly calls Schlitterbahn Slaughterbahn because we go so gung ho on everything and try to cram both parts of the park into every day we're there and we end up bruised and beaten. You also use your arms A LOT. A ton. When you're in your tube, you're expected to paddle your way along in areas where the current isn't strong. When you get stuck in a whirlpool the lifeguard will come help you if you seem to be having trouble, but first they'll see if you can paddle hard enough to get yourself out. After our 3 day trips our arms are usually in a lot of pain and are bruised up and down the inner arm, because we don't pace ourselves properly and spread out regular slides with the tubing attractions. We go to bed exhausted and sore every night we visit Schlitterbahn, but it's definitely a good kind of exhaustion and soreness that comes with being very active and having a full day.

Thanks. i was looking at their tickets and one of the options was to get a refillable souvenir bottle. I don't like coke so that would be a waste for me but if it was Pepsi I might think about that. O, well. THANK YOU

Bring in your own ice chest! Just make sure it doesn't have anything glass in it--they will check and make you throw it out.

Next question-- we are thinking about renting a cabanas because we are fair skinned red heads. Is there enough shade to be found or is a cabanas a good idea? Or are they hard to make as a base for a whole day?
