Scheduling Problem/Question

So we told my SIL and her family that we would take them to WDW and use our points for a 2 bdrm villa for all of us summer of 2012. But as we've begun looking at the schedules of all the kiddos and our husbands (my SIL and I are both teachers so we're off in the summer) we're no longer sure we can find a compatible time to go in the summer. Our other choices would be Thanksgiving week or the week between Christmas and New Year's (yes, I know how busy the parks are then - we've been twice at that time!) I'm wondering how likely it would be that I could get a reservation for a 2 bdrm villa for one of those weeks at this point in time for 2011. Our home resort is OKW. However, if we do get a reservation, we might look to trade to AKL at the 7 mo mark. Do you think there's any chance of that working?

Well we're still in the 7 month period for October 2011 reservations. I would think if you call on day one of your 7 month period, you would have a good chance for Thanksgiving. Christmas week might be more difficult. You could book Thanksgiving and then try for Christmas later. Good luck.

Edit: I just thought of something, since you are in your home resort period for OKW, you could book there now and have a back up in case you can't get a reservation somewhere else.
