Scheduling Magic Kingdom Shoot after wedding day

hey guys!

So I'm curious.

How hard is it to get your magic kingdom shoot the morning after your wedding? This would work best for us but for some reason I keep thinking it won't be that simple?...

The problem is we set a date on a Thursday and will most likely fly home the Saturday after. So if I can't get it to line up for the Friday then it would be before the wedding day which isn't how we would like to do it but would if we had to.

So anyway, have any of you had it line up that way, the day after? If not how have you brides done it in the past??

Thanks in advance :)

I see lots of brides do this, but it really depends on availability of shoots at that time. For instance, there are usually very few days available in November and December. Also, we scheduled our shoot for two days after the wedding because we wanted to be able to sleep in the morning after the wedding. Even with the delay, I was still totally zonked out for the rest of the day after our early-morning shoot (though there are worse places to fall asleep than the Peoplemover!).

Oh awesome! This is fabulous news then. I was a little worried it may not even be an option, idk why I feel that way, I guess it just would feel so simple if it worked out that way for us lol! We are an October wedding :) so I'm prepared to understand there's chances we'll have some date issues since October is popular especially for weddings and everything that goes along with them but I'm crossing my fingers!! Thank you for the insight as always ;)

We got married on a Thursday and had our in-park shoots the following Sunday and Monday. As long as it's available you can book it whatever day you want. Contact your planner ASAP to get it set up.

You can book it separately with DFAP and then have it merged into your BEO as well...so if it is available on a day you're looking for and you're concerned just ring DFAP. I found working with DFAP directly for the initial stages was really helpful as the response times from DFTW weren't the best at first.

Oh wow that's a good idea! I will call them, how soon in advance can they be booked, is there time frames like there is for booking the weddings? We're only just about to hit our 16 month mark, we are October 2017, so I'm assuming that's way to far out for them still but maybe not?? Am I wishful thinking lol.....

Ours would have to be the Friday after as we fly out most likely Saturday after the wedding, I will definitely be putting in a call, thank you! :)

DFTW couples can book the Magic Kingdom Portrait Session as soon as they've signed their contracts. All others can book at the 4-month mark.

We had it wedding on Friday and portrait session on Saturday. Mrs. had to wake up at 3-4 AM for hair and makeup.

We unfortunately we're not able to get ours done the morning after our wedding. The day after our wedding they were starting to decorate for fall and Halloween. We had to fly back down to Florida about a week and a half later to get them done!

Was not really convenient!
