Scheduling FP+ with tiers

I'm trying to plan what FP+ I want and I'm stumped on what to get with the tiered parks. I can firmly decide on 2 rides that I want FP+ for but not for the 3rd one. I mean I could find something to schedule but I don't want to "waste" it on a level C ride. (Yes, insert comments about how much it sucks that you can't get FP+ to do repeat rides.) Anyway, if I only book 2 FP+ and leave the 3rd one unbooked, would I be able to easily schedule it using MDE app (I'm staying onsite) once I get to the park if we come up with something? Does doing that mess anything up? Or should I just schedule a level C ride for it for now and change it later when I get to the parks? Is it easier to change an existing FP+ reservation or try to book the 3rd one once I get there?

Unless something has changed in the last month, you can't book 2, you need to book 3 or none.

Be aware that many rides that were typically walk ons that experienced WDW guests would roll their eyes at needing a FP for now do get occasional lines and it may actually be nice to have them. You can't use it for something else anyways, so why not? We found we were glad to have a GMR FP+ at DHS, it saved us a 15-20 minute line around 1130 AM during a "slow time".

You will need to book all 3. Then, as you get closer to your trip, or, on "day of" as early as possible, change your Fp+. If there isn't anything that interests you, just leave your third choice as is and don't use it.

Last month, we were restricted to "day of" Fp+ even though we were onsite but using CM ticket media. When we didn't really care about our third choice, we would choose something that wouldn't really impact or take away from others such as Star Tours or Beauty and the Beast, etc.

Ah well that's a bummer that it's 3 or nothing.

The other FP+ attractions I was interested in were things like Living with the Land and Indiana Jones Epic Stunt show, both of which seems like a waste of a FP+. So I was hoping that we could have a slight bit of spontaneity by leaving 1 FP+ unbooked and book it on the go when we're there if let's say we have a desire/need to book another FP+ ride. Like say, we decide when we're there that we want to do Spaceship Earth and the SB lines have been long all day (which is atypical in my experience), well then we could use that remaining FP+ on it.

You do have a point, it can't be used for anything else anyway so I might as well book a C level ride with it anyway and if it doesn't get used, I can try to reschedule it. Can you reschedule FP+ after the time slot if you haven't used it?

Yup, as long as you haven't used the FP+ you can reschedule it if something else is available.

It can be kind of tricky to do with MDE. We found it was best to first change the time to a later time and then change the experience instead of changing the experience first. We would get a message that there was no additional experiences for the time if we tried to change that first.

I agree that Indiana Jones is probably a waste, but remember, it's only a waste if there's something better you can schedule instead. If your family doesn't want to see any of the more popular attractions in tier 2, then it isn't a waste for your family. Same with Living with the Land, although it has supposedly has had line ups during busier times, which is kind of terrifying to me :upsidedow! I personally think ToT and GMR/Star Tours are the best uses of the tier 2 FP at DHS. If you ride 2 of those, that's what I'd pick.
