I've been booking FPs and making ADRs and I'm not sure how close I can make an ADR to a FP window without risking missing one or the other or rushing about.

We are not park hopping. I'm planning some late TS lunches in the park that we're in.

Here are 2 of our days:

DHS
10:10-11:10 Star Tours
11:10-12:10 TSMM
12:20-1:20 Muppet Vision

2:15 50s Prime Time Cafe

We're also hoping to get into Jedi training academy that day and will head there right at RD.

MK
9:10-10:10 7DMT
10:25-11:15 PP
11:35-12:35 HM

1:35 Liberty Tree Tavern

So basically for those 2 days I think I've allowed plenty of time. I'm even thinking I could tighten up the FP times for our MK day but I'm not sure that it's necessary.

I just can't really envision how the days will go. Not knowing how long we'll be in lines and how long some of the things will actually take... I'm not used to all of this planning!

We will have at least one more DHS day so if we don't get into the Jedi thing on that day we'll have another shot, but I'll feel good knowing the pressure is off if he gets to do it on our first day there.

At any rate, I want to make more ADRs but I'm worried about regretting the timing of them.

Any advice? What has worked for you?

Looks great although I would try to do Muppets towards the beginning of your FP+ window.

If you are planning on getting to a park at RD, I would skip the earliest FP and move them to a bit later when the lines are longer. Use that time to ride with shorter standby waits. On your MK day I would probably move 7DMT to HM and move HM into the space before your reservation. That way, you don't have to deal with the RD crowds at 7DMT and could possibly ride something else in another area of the park with lesser waits.

Also, I would book closer to the dining times. You are giving yourself an hour between the last FP window and your dining time. The FP lines usually move very quickly (less than 10 minutes, from my experince) so even if you hit the end of your FP window, you are still leaving almost that entire hour before eating, where you may have trouble finding a short enough standby wait to ensure there are no snafus that would cause you to miss your reservation.

Thanks so much for the replies and advice. I'm constantly 2nd-guessing myself on this. It will be ds's first trip and I have a feeling he is going to want to take afternoon pool breaks so I was scheduling mostly morning fps. But I don't know for sure!

We will have 9 or 10 park days in our 11 day trip. I don't want to realize on the first or 2nd day that I scheduled things "wrong" for us and then be scrambling.

I can see how having too much time between things can be an issue just like not having enough time.

All of your FP+ times are fine. I wouldn't mess with them now, quite honestly, as TSMM and 7DMT are going to be tough to reschedule. I wouldn't worry about the rope drop rush for 7DMT. You have a FP+, so the mad dash won't affect you.

I do think you could schedule your ADR's closer to the end of your last FP+ time. You have a LOT of time between your last FP+ and your ADR's. Unless you plan on doing your last FP+ rides at the very end of your time window, waiting an hour to eat is a long time!

Also, you don't need a FP+ for Muppet Vision. It's a show that starts at a specific time and the theater is never full, so everyone gets in at the same time. If there is something else at DHS you would like to use a FP+ for, I would switch that one out.

Thanks. Yeah, I don't think we'll rush to 7DMT so we'll ride it towards the end of the window. Lines will be long there all the time anyway. Although I suppose if I push it back then we'll have more time to do some other stuff while lines elsewhere are relatively short.

At DHS, there really wasn't much for us to get FP for. TOT and any extreme-ish roller coaster is out for us. (I'm not even sure ds will want to ride 7DMT.) And I don't know how he'll do on Star Tours but he's such a huge Star Wars fan he might be okay. I know he'll adore TSMM but there really wasn't much else so each day at DHS I FP'd a show just to book something.
