Scheduling a planning session

My Fiance and I are planning to go to Disney for New Years Eve this year. At that time we will also be within the 6 month mark to do our planning session but only by about 2 weeks. So we would like to do both if we could. We really need to book our trip for soon so rooms aren't sold out. Monday will be my 16 month mark so my question is at what point can they schedule you to come to do your planning session? Do we have to wait till our planner is assigned? If so when is a planner assigned? Thanks!!

We are 13 months and booked ours this week It never hurts to email/call your consultant and explain the situation and see if there's anything they can do

I did the same as Disneylizzylou. We booked it a couple of weeks ago when we over 13 months out.

Disneylizzylou when is your planning session? Are wedding is about a week before yours so I am wondering if we will be in Disney at the same time planning

We arrive October 1st and have are planning session the 3rd. We are staying till the 8th. Maybe we could see if we could go the same night to MNSSH? Where are you staying?

Just wanted to add that I booked my planning session over a month ago for my April 21, 2012. We wanted to rent DVC points and I wanted to make sure we got room around the boardwalk area since its Food and Wine Festival time...

Ohh that's good news our wedding is June 19th , 2012 so we should be able to do the same thing.

Well in case anyone else happens to do a search about scheduling a planning session... My wedding is mid June which means I can start my planning session in mid December. I just heard from my wedding coordinator and we will have our planning session first week of January. So with that said I was able to book my planning session 9 months before the 6 month mark or 15 months before the wedding.

I just emailed my information to schedule our planning session for our April 21, 2012 wedding. Bill our coordinator had originally said that we wouldn't be able to schedule it until we got assigned our planner. Hopefully we will be able to schedule it. We are hoping to do it on October 10th, 2011.
