Schedule our ADR as a group of 6 or split into two ADRs?

We're going to have one TS meal with my parents (they're only there for one day with us)...there are four of us, two of them. We're going to Ohana and we are not on the DDP. We were planning to pay separately for our meals.

So here is my question -- should I book the six of us as one ADR and ask the server to split the bill or us just figure out the money later, or book two separate ADRs (one for them, one for us) but tell them we're together so we can be seated together?

Your booking your reservation only has to do with how you sit. So it wouldn't make any sense to book separately- b/c then you wouldn't be seated together.
I don't think any of the servers should have problems splitting a bill. Enjoy!

O'hana is a flat rate meal, so you will know the cost ahead of time. I'd make just one ADR to be certain you are seated together, then ask the CM when you ordering to split the bill.

Be aware that parties of 6 (one or two ADRs makes no difference) will automatically be billed an 18% gratuity whether or not the bill is split.

So the cost of the meal, 6.5% meal tax, 18% tip, if you want to figure it ahead of time, plus any adult beverages of course.

Thanks so much. I think we may just pay for my parents' meal (although my mother will insist on paying us back and will make a big, huge deal about it -- sometimes it's just not worth it!) and not even worry about splitting the bill. We'll just tell Mom that we're sharing some Disney magic with her. LOL

I love my mother to bits, but she really gets to me on things like this...Just let me pay for the darn meal already!
