I've never seen The Rescuers but that scene of Orville's takeoff was soooo cute. I love that older style of Disney animation. It's so charming!

Good afternoon everyone!

We're off to a great start only a few days into the month, with 3 colour changes already. Congrats to Raya, sophy1996 and myself (clappyclaps) for all reaching blue! And the team isn't far off reaching that either!



Our second scene stealing sidekick this month is none other than Dug from Up:


Dug is a golden retriever who originally belonged to explorer Charles Muntz. Dug speaks English using a special collar invented by his former master. Dug likes fetching balls and chasing squirrels, but he doesn’t like the cone of shame or squirrels tormenting.

As well as Up, Dug has appeared in a couple of animated short films, Dug's Special Mission and George and A.J, as well as a series of shorts called Dug Days. He is voiced by Bob Peterson, who as well as being an animator for Pixar, has also voiced Roz from Monsters Inc, Mr Ray and the seagulls from Finding Nemo and Chuckles from Toy Story 3.

In Ratatouille, Dug's shadow can be seen on a wall of an apartment building as Up was in production at the time. Dug was also awarded the Palm Dog Award at the Cannes Film festival as the best canine performance.
