Scene last night around Midnight

Two cyclists. On the road. There are NO street lights in my area of town and very few sidewalks. They had cyclist gear and helmets...but 12 Midnight? A crazy time to go for a ride in my book. They were messing around with one of the bikes, on the side of the road.

They could be training for a very long bike ride. I know that, if you are training for 100-mile or 24 hour ultramarathons, you pretty much need to practice being on your feet all night long. It is possible that they had mechanical problems that turned a "short" three or four hour ride into six or eight hours, too.
