Anyone have a scavenger hunt specific for the Disney Magic? I'm thinking about handing it out to the kids that will be on our trip with us and giving them prizes at the end of they complete it (9 kids ranging in age from 7-11).

Thanks!!

You could use the hidden Mickey book and have the children fine those on the ship.

It is a long shot, but on our WBTA in 2016, the Excursions Desk on the Magic had a small scavenger hunt card available each day at sea with 10 fingernail-size themed photos on them. The themes ranged from chairs, pictures (twice), uniforms and carpets. Each photo would be of a small section of one of these items and your challenge was to find them (all over the ship), write name and location below the photo and submit it by 10 pm to the same desk. All the winning cards were put in a container, shaken up and one was drawn to receive a DCL prize. This is not as easy as the Detective Agency challenge, believe me. This is a heck of an adventure for adults. We passed other folks doing the hunt in the hallways and had to, literally, had to exchanged notes on some of the items to complete our card. We loved it! Don't know if it is only available on longer cruises, but worth checking on your cruise. Your kids are old enough to enjoy it. Note: the uniform one is a bear.
As I remember, on another recent Magic cruise, they had a Tangled-themed scavenger hunt for large symbols (static cling) from the movie/show, again, all over the ship. Believe the hunt was on our bed night prior to the Tangled show. When completed, you gave it to your room steward and, if correct, you got a treat on your bed that evening. This is similar to the Frozen one.
Don't know if this helps. Our grandkids, their parents and their parents (us) love these hunts. Maybe one of the themes above might help you. Good luck!

Just want to confirm that both of these hunts were available to play on my January MDAS cruise on the Magic. I didn't do either because I ended up really busy with other activities, so I can't speak to prizes, but they do still offer these scavenger hunts.

Because DCL keeps changing up on their special moments/adventures, sometimes you have to stir the Pixie Dust. Just check with both Guest Services and the Excursion Desk to see if they have any special activities you and your clan can participate in..."always a surprise."
We have a placeholder and are waiting for next year's early schedule...later this month or next, we'll see. Love the Mouse!!

We'll be on the Magic later next week. How do we get these? What are they exactly? Thanks! :yay:

I want to say both were paper sheets with images (or little bits of images) and space to fill out where you found them around the ship? I looked at them briefly but didn't do them, so they're not very firm in my memory. The Tangled thugs scavenger hunt could only be done on the day the Tangled musical was being performed in the evening; I'm not positive whether the general scavenger hunt was available through the entire cruise or only on certain days. Both were available at the excursions desk; they had a paper holder with a stack of them and a box of golf pencils and you'd just stop by and grab them if you wanted to play. I want to say they were both announced on the morning show when they started? Not positive.

We were recently on a 4 night Magic cruise. The scavenger hunt sheets (and pencils) with the photos (they were of parts of signs on the ship) was sitting out at the Port Excursions desk-- I noticed them when I went to sign us up for the CC 5k. We didn't know if there was a prize, and never turned it back in, but it was fun to go to various places on the ship and find the answers. We didn't go out specifically looking per se, but had the sheet in my little purse and when we recognized an answer, wrote it down. I enjoy looking at details and theming, so it was just a little fun aside for us, and would be a fun thing to occupy the kids.

I don't recall if they did the Tangled search on our cruise (if so, I saw nothing about it), but it sounds like the one with Frozen icons that we did on our Alaskan cruise last year. We turned that one in with our room host and got chocolate.
