Scattered check in

Our group of 11 will be arriving at the BWV at 3-4 different times scattered throughout the day (in groups of 2-4 people). We're staying in a 2-bdrm and a 1-bdrm. I have already had one person from each of the other groups added as authorized to checkin on our reservation.

How will/can the keys for this be handled by the front desk? Will they give ALL the keys to the first group to check in, so that we have to arrange for each group to meet the first group to get their keys? Or can the front desk just give each group their keys as they arrive?

Any experience with this?

The first to check-in in relation to a room can inform the front desk total number of keys needed and identity of persons and that the others will get theirs when they arrive. The keys can then be held at the front desk and picked up by others when they arrive.

What I have done in the past is tell everyone if they are the first group to check in, to put the keys in separate envelopes for each group to come. Then it didn't matter who came in next, all they needed to do was ask at the front desk for their envelope.
