Scary, Scary Banner

Im gutted to see that the banner has been changed to appease the few who have decided to kick off . One of the posts was saying that the person who put it on the boards should be fired, get a life!!!! Its an image,this is a message board, not a kids zone

Last time i looked the dis has not only a Disney section but a Universal section too so why should HHN not be advertised? If they dont like it then simply don't look at it, the internet has many images people dont like seeing. BUT do you see everyone kicking off to get them removed NO. Im sure there are some people who go on these boards who dont like MNSSHP or Disney but they dont kick off when Disney related events are advertised. Not me personally i love Disney but i really dont see the big deal.

Halloween is not just for kids hence the many many movies released for this event. Please someone see sense & put the old banner back

Those people complain about lots of stuff having to do with Halloween. There's always fuss about what Wal-Mart sells for example. Um, don't take your small children in the Halloween aisle then!

I liked the banner. I thought it represented real well what the event was all about and hopefully would keep the fluff lovers away. The new banner should still do that but it isn't as cool.

Sheesh! What the heck do they want??? If that's the case, then there are thousands of things we should censor on this board because "someone" finds them offensive ...

... I find the new color on the US threads too bright - get rid of it
... I don't like the way some people start threads putting down US - get rid of it
... The cutesy pumpkins make me sick - get rid of them

I'm sorry, but if we removed everything that was upsetting to a few people, then we wouldn't have a forum. No wonder I don't post over on "that side" that often.

I'm sorry, but if we removed everything that was upsetting to a few people, then we wouldn't have a forum. No wonder I don't post over on "that side" that often.

It's the one on the Budget Board that had the not liking the "Bloody Mary" words. They are fairly level-headed over there though; the Family board and CB board seem to be cousins.

Yeah...those people are very sanctimonious on their beliefs of how to raise their children. I guess we can see the people who like horror movies and scary stuff and the ones who don't.

im still scratching my head as to folks who evidently snuggle up w/their kiddies by gathering 'round the computer screen & read the DIS , no offense...i luv to play here, just not my idea of quality family time .

if we're talking about striving to limit exposure of impressionable young children (to possibly scary stuff) wouldn't u avoid/block all message boards ?

I posted that and it was to make fun of the people whining about the banner. Here is what I posted, so you don't have to go searching for it:

Well I think that the banner is still pretty scary. Bloody Mary is written in blood, my DD could wander over and ask why there is blood on the screen, that is very traumatizing. And it has the word Horror in it, that's horrible and scary. Not only that, the banner is shaped like a rectangle, which reminds me of a street. Kids can wander out into the street and get run over by trucks. This is supposed to be a happy place, why are all of these terrible images popping up? Now that it I see it in the preview, those smilies are pretty scary too, we should only be allowed to use happy faces from now on, you never know when a child might be peeping over your shoulder
