It took 3 pages, but the anti-universal people are finding their way to the thread. Somebody said that it wasn't good advertisement for Universal and that they would prefer cutsie pumpkins and another posted that they asked to have the banner removed.

Bring on HHN and the Universal thugs that love it :lmao:

:rotfl: I saw the thread & posted on how I liked HHN & the banner. I went as far as posting the link to the HHN site if anyone wanted to see more pics or hear the music.. :lmao: I guess I am mean, but wasn't trying to be. I did it nice though, if anyone was really interested in purchasing tkts.. that was the link they needed. I was also showing them that there are others here beside them & someone might really want to check it out. There is nothing wrong with that pic there. It is not perverted or anything. It gives one a very good idea of what HHN is really like. ...

......and how much do you want to bet there will be families still taking their young (very young) kids there this year (in strollers). They do not heed to the warnings... then they complain....:confused3

I've found 4 threads so far on just that board about the banner.

Pull up your big boy or girl panties, people!

I'm trying to figure out what is so "scary" about the banner. Is it the scarred face? The eyes? What? :confused3

I'm surprised it's stayed civil...I mean...it IS on the CB after all. :rotfl2:

It's scares me because in one picture the girl resembles the possessed child in Excorcist, which really terrified me. The other picture is even spookier. :scared1:

It is scary. It's supposed to be.

I posted about checking out your children's my space pages--they have way scarier stuff than that out there.

Kids will deliberately try to scare themselves that is what human nature is about and that is why there are theme parks. Quick thrills where you know you will still be alive at the end--oh, my bad, Disneyphiles only what songs and fake thrills with rides that are past their prime.:rolleyes1

I'm so glad the Universal board seems to have normal people on it. Sometimes I come down to the Universal board just to escape the insanity of the mothers in other forums. :scared:

Oh and the tons of them that are so freaked out by it (come on you are adults, and they are obviously costumed, it's not like you are actually at the event and they are popping out of bushes scaring you). I also love the ones that "have a fear of clowns", is that the new cool thing to be?

I loved the one that said that she wouldn't go because of the ad and that they should have used cutsie pumpkins! Could you imagine them advertising with cute pumpkins and bats and candy and then seeing the reactions of people when they walked in?

Yes, I admit it - I'm afraid of clowns!! But the fact that they scare me make it fun - if you undersatnd wht I mean.:scared1:

USO should try that sometime. We would have some laughs! :lmao:

I'm going to have to call shenanigans on people claiming that their children are glancing at the ad and having a breakdown because of the scaryness. You can't even tell what it is unless you really look.

I LOVE it! Can't get enough scare... love Halloween. Geez even my 12 & 10 year olds understand its not real. They still dont want to go because its too scary but they love the HHn web page etc!

always wanted to pass for normal:upsidedow

as for the clown fear, i've had it since a tyke:confused3 (long time clown hater, same reason i hate most politician). Whether it was Bozo or Clarabell i cannot say:rolleyes: ; yet it didn't stop me from buying @ the BWV...kinda fun to conquer the clown slide:goodvibes

i have to admit, the cutesie pumpkins and candy corn and flying bats depict a good ad for the MNSSHP and people really do seem to enjoy that, but if you want something different, for the thrill that people get out of being scared and really seem to enjoy about halloween, the scarier ads are perfect - i don't see why that would "offend" anyone.. just seems to me that it's something for people to complain about when there's really no reason to complain.. the ad's great - i wish we could afford to go to it!!! :thumbsup2
