Scared about school vacay for Feb trip

Hi all -
So the trip is planned for Feb 7-15th (75 days away!!!!!!!!!) but I just realized that other states have different times for their February school vacations! Around where I live, they plan the week off around President's day, but does anyone know if this is different anywhere else? I'm nervous the crowds will be nuts! Thanks for any and all help!

I would think the dates you are going would be fine...It's the dates WE are going that will be probably be CROWDED! February 19th - February 26th

You should be OK. Most of the crowds show up at the end of February from my experience.

Up here in MA our break is the week after that and I think that holds true for many New England schools. I think you will have a nice week before the crowds descend!

Hows the week after easter...insane, heavy or decent? Anyone know?

I don't know when Easter is this year, but it was late in April in 2004 when we went the week after. Although it was really crowded one night at MK, for the most part, the rest of the week wasn't too bad. Much less crowded than the first week in June, which is when we went last year.

I think the later Easter is, the fewer schools have it off or are more likely to give the week before off.

We don't get a Feb. break around here like in other parts of the country.
All we get off in February is that Monday, Presidents' Day.

each individual school district makes its own calendar. There's no such thing as when all Colorado schools have off, or all Pennsylvania schools have off, etc. There may be one or two state-mandated things, but not an entire school year's calendar.

New Jersey alone has over 600 school districts, each with its own schedule. And that's just one state. So what I'm saying is, you're not going to get accurate information on when school vacations are. Plus, there are all the colleges and universities ....

That's the week we're visiting WDW. We chose it deliberately because it was the last week before the heart of school vacation season began.

We are going that week too- for the same reasons- lower crowds.

I just got back last night - went thurs Nov 16 to Thanksgiving Day and the crowds were horrible on Wednesday-- TT already had a 90 minute wait at 10:00. However, last thursday, Friday and Sat everything was pretty much a walk on in the early morning-- by afternoon it was crowded but not too bad.
