Fitz's dad taped Mellie. After that's he went 10 years (per him) of refusing Fitz's advances. He admitted that he couldn't take it anymore and that was the reason their marriage imploded.

What did you all think?

I'm confused about Olivia's character. She's sleeping with Jake and trying to take down his company. She's upset about the president being upset about his wife's affair. Yet she's his mistress. Fitz baffles me. What the hives does he have to be upset about? He's screwing Olivia. Why not let her have that VP guy? I understand why Mellie's upset but why was she thwarting his advances (VP's) earlier in the show? And Olivia's parents baffle me. What a family dynamic. They are all screwed up. Oh and her mom dropped a hint by saying her workplace was dangerous...bomb.

She slept with Jake JUST to get the information they needed to take down B613. That's why she was so quiet when she left the information for Huck.

The whole Fitz-Melly-Andrew-Oliva love square is annoying and a little too soap opera-y for me. I can see why everyone feels how they feel but Fitz not knowing about the rape is the cornerstone to the issue. I'm not sure what's going to happen when he finds out. He can't confront his father so I am sure he'll have some sort thing woe is me story line about how his father ruined his life.

Maybe he'll have him killed. IDK. I really like Meille and I used to like Fitz. I used to like Jake too. The number of likeable characters on this show is dwindling for me.

I'm a loyal watcher and will continue to be one but this show is just ridiculous.

Don't get me started on the hypocrisy of Olivia and Fitz over Mellie's affair. I think that is what bothers me about this show. That and how Olivia lets Fitz talk to her like she's a piece of you know what.

My opinion, Papa Pope promised Olivia he wouldn't touch Fitz. He didn't promise Olivia that he wouldn't manipulate her to pull the plug on B613 who watches over the President. This now leaves Fitz vulnerable to attack just the way Papa Pope planned.

I love this show, I really do, but yes we are getting into ridiculous territory.

And I LOVE Kerry Washington, she's phenomenal (and seems like a really nice lady in real life, too) but her "oh no I'm upset / scared / uncertain" face is getting to be a bit much. She's heading down the Taylor Swift "I am acting surprised that I won my 80th award" road in terms of her facial expressions.

But I still love the show.

Mellie REALLY needs to tell Fitz about his dad. They already know most of each other's secrets (Fitz and the plane, Mellie and her involvement in what happened to the VP's hubby, etc) so would this one REALLY rock his world?!

I think it would. Look at how he's reacted to her voluntarily sleeping with another man? I think I'd wreck him so much he'd leave the White House.
