Scandal! (May contain spoilers)

I agree that Quinn/Huck scene was gross :crazy2: ...
Isn't Cyrus the one that set it up for James to be killed, or was that only meant for David and his plan totally backfired?

I thought it was a very gripping episode. Issues aren't black and white, sometimes there aren't clear good and bad guys. I would be submitting that episode for Emmy consideration.

It was. Probably the best and most twisted episode on scandal yet.

Omg! What did you think??? The end with Jake trying to comfort him while he was dying was so disturbing. Cyrus' breakdown. Ugh. Heartbreaking. He knew it was going to happen right? So who did Jake swear in that last episode? David? But David fell apart? So you think Jake will now kill him? Liv, Cyrus, everybody knows what happened now and they are all now part of and in on it!!!! The father daughter chat was pretty eye opening. Quinn/Huck just grosses me out. Omg thst are ALL BAD!!!

Did Cy know it was going to happen???

That episode should have come with a warning.

Agreed

Why does it still seem like Jake is only good guy? Talk about "jumping the shark"...I sooooo wish he had shot the shooter like we all guessed before. :(

Same here :worried:

I agree. I think psychologically it was the most disturbing episode because now there seems like no one to root for. Except David. Maybe David. He just didn't want to die.

It would seem they'll all sell their soul for something.

Very good, indeed!! :thumbsup2

Call me crazy but I still like Jake and wish Olivia would just leave the man alone.

I will always like Jake.

I'm not a Quinn fan and would love it if she disappeared. I do like Huck but he SERIOUSLY creeps me out more often than not.

I guess Cy did set it up for James to be killed, prior to learning that James was Publius.

This was definitely an episode that wowed me.

So did Cyrus order a hit on Publis? I do remember him being really upset when he discovered the bug in the photo frame.

I feel like, if I remember right, he requested the hit on Publius BEFORE he found out it was James.

Last night was CRAZY!! I was really hoping Mellie was going to come out with her real reasons for everything with the FIL but she still kept quiet.

I enjoyed last nights show. The stories are moving forward but it isn't at break neck speed where you can't breathe while watching it. I was surprised that Olivia's Dad told her about where the money was coming from. I love his long speeches to people.

I'm getting very tired of Olvia's facial expressions. And I no longer care about a lot of the characters. I hate when shows do that to me - you care, you're right there and then it just goes on and on and suddenly it's *couldn't give a crap*. I liked so many of them. Especially Jake, Cyrus and Mellie. Hopefully, my earlier love of it all will return.

Also, I've never really enjoyed Harrison. So his story is a yawn for me.

I actually missed Sally. Her line about the devil being at her doorstep re: Olivia cracked me up the week before. She's such a great actress.

What in the WORLD was Mellie thinking hooking up with that guy in the NEXT room?!?!? I just KNEW she was gonna get caught.

You know what - I've realized what it is for me. I think they need to go back to more independent stories and get off the personal stories for a bit and especially B613. Leave it alone for a few shows.

Really disappointed that Mellie didn't tell Fitz the truth about what happened in their marriage. They were really in love. I find it very sad. Makes me like the Fitz/Olivia relationship less. Seems like Fitz should have tried harder. The whole thing is disappointing.

I agree. I am so tired of the B613 storyline. Go back to way the shows were in Season 1 and Season 2.

Did I miss something what is the real reason? I always thought it was Fitz relationship with Olivia.

Fitz's dad raped Mellie. After that's he went 10 years (per him) of refusing Fitz's advances. He admitted that he couldn't take it anymore and that was the reason their marriage imploded.

I feel sorry for Mellie because what happened to her was horrible, but I feel that her political career was more important to her because if she told Fitz what his father did to her, Fitz probably would have not entered the race for POTUS. Back in season 2 when Fitz spoke about how they met, he realized that it was set up by their fathers, and I believe that Mellie knew the real reason for the meeting. To her, pretending is what is real in a marriage. Also, if her marriage was so important to her, why would she bring her husband's mistress into their lives, because I believe to her being FLOTUS is all that matters to her.

She's a complex individual.
