I never trust ANYONE except community leaders. If they scam you they will loose their title/badge. Everyone is like a stranger just standing on the street. I would never walk up to someone off the street and just start talking to them. They may have a record or be wanted.

I may sound kind of evil here, but most of the scams are relying on peoples mercy. I've learned not to show any mercy to these people over the internet, unless I know that they are in the situation they're in. This is my usual conversation here:
(Scammer asks to trade, I accept)
Me: That may be true, but I won't give you anything

Scammer: Don't you understand? *insert horrible thing* happened to me! I need free stuff!

Me: That may be true, but how will virtual stuff help you?
(Scammer closes trade window and leaves room)

I've even had people continue with the " Your mean! I almost *insert bad thing here*! I will report you!" blah blah. They squirm. Like a bug.

a girl in alyuels room said " i have a code for this room, but u have to pay me to see it" one word SCAM! me and my friend kept telling her that if u get the room or any other expedition everest stuff not including pin that u can get ban, she said to be her friend and follow her, i did, but when i went into her tiki room i said " ok, let me see ur room" she kept changing the subject and even said "u can go in there ill stay here " so i deleted her from my list and left, i know that was kind of harsh but she needs to know that lying is not good.

I have had another player saying," let me win"," it is a special day for me."" It is my birthday." I let the person win just because I fell for it, come back to HM lobby to see he is saying he is setting record. I felt like an idiot.

I had someone tell me once that I needed to give him my teleportation pin for free because he accidently traded his sister's pin away. I asked him why was he on his sister's account. He said she loaned it to him. I asked him how did he accidently trade it? He responded that he traded it for the junk he was offering for mine....

it sad that people try these things...like i always get "leader give me free stuff because your rich" or something in that line....How do they know i am rich? It doesn't help that people lie and say we get stuff, i don't know how many times i had to say, "WE ONLY GET THE CL_ IN FRONT OF OUR NAME AND BADGE."( of course in vmk talk). i feel it increasing though.

the lowest form of scamming that drives me bonkers is hanging on other's coat tails. Like befriending Yavn, just to prance his name around. Or anyone for that matter, just to get a head's up on what they're doing because someone has no clue on how to be original. or copying successful room and ride titles that people have established. There's a lack of true use of friends lists and creativity in VMK, and it can be sickening sometimes.

Agreed. I haven't been in the staff "Hit the Floor, Lose the Door" game,
but I thought when MickeysBuddy had that game months ago, it was very
clever. Now I see all sorts of room names with that game, and now staff
has it.

I know ! They even had a guest room : Hurrican Victims Plz give to the poor.
the info button said: plz give furniture to me and i will give them to hurrican ppl . (not to be mean but what does being a victim have to do with being "poor" on vmk ?!?!)
