you know we are all wise to this stuff, and really laugh at it, but some of these ohne messages or text, realy seem real, and could fool people who arnt online a lot, and of course are Senior Citizens , I would love it if we havd somehitng like and auntomativ 15 years of prison if you play any part in these scams, we got to protect our old

Yes, my mom is constantly falling for stuff! Thankfully she it runs by me first or right after, so when she has given out info I get her to call the bank right away.

I have a landline. I keep it for emergencies, I know my address will pop up if I call 911, and I don't have to worry about it being charged if the power goes out. I also use that number for all those rewards programs businesses have. The only people who ever call it are scammers and people selling solar.

It's only a few bucks and frankly, I keep it for sentimental reasons. It was the phone number we got when we married and moved into our first home - it went into service on our wedding day (25 years next Wednesday). It's not just a phone number - it's our phone number.

I’ve had mine for over 30 years. My dad had Alzheimer’s, this is the phone number he knew, he passed away a couple of years ago, but my IL’s are in their 90’s and it’s the number they call. It took me an entire month getting it ported when I switched cable providers, paying both bills, but I’d do anything for them. Plus, if I’m planning on talking long I prefer the cordless over my iPhone.

We actually have 2 home lines. One we use exclusively for our business fax and the other is the home phone. I keep it because cell service within our house is spotty at best. I make most calls from home on the landline.
