I received an email yesterday 6/18 that said it was coming from BestBuy.com. Basically what it said was that an order was placed in the amunt of $760.30 using my credit card and that the order was suspicious. They were not going to process the order because the shippng address was unverified, but only if I hurried. I needed to immediately reply with correct information.
It all sounded fishy to me so I called the toll free best buy number. They already have a recording saying they are aware these emails are being sent out all over the United States, and that you should call your financial institution if you have already given out your information.
Please discard if you receive it the subject was: bestbuy order#1095619.....Fraud Alert.
