DF and I are not really picky about the time of our ceremony. We had originally thought the 5 o'clock would be what we wanted but we wanted to get your opinions.

If you were already married at SBP what time was your wedding at? What did you like about that time? What didn't you like about it?

If you are planning a SBP wedding what time did you choose and why?

TIA Brides!:bride:

The time of year had huge impact on my choice of ceremony time.

DH is NOT a morning person, so I didn't want to force him out of bed for what is supposed to be a "special" day (and I didn't want him cranky!;):rotfl:)

But September in Florida is HOT. HOT AND HUMID. So I didn't want anything in the afternoon.

We ended up chosing the 11:00 time (obviously we got married so long ago that Disney has since changed the time slots). It was perfect for us. It was still warm and quite humid, but the best choice for us.

Your date is in October, right? You may not have as much of an issue with the heat and humidity but they could come into play. You might also consider what other activities you have planned for your guests and which time allows you to maximize their enjoyment while you and your new hubby do the things you need to do (pics, etc).

DF is the same ay with mornings... he's VERY cranky!!!!:rotfl2:

Our wedding is in october. I was thinking of maybe the 2:30 instead of the 5 but i'm not sure. Would the sun be setting around 5? does sunset look nice at SBP or do pictures come out too dark? Will 2:30 be too hot? will it be nice and bright? So confused!!!

I think the sun will still be mostly out at 5 (most of the info I'm finding is sunset is around 7pm). The October average temp ranges from a high of 85 to a low of about 65. It's probably not as rainy as September, but it's still hurricane season so there are no guarantees.

The later afternoon times will be the hottest times of the day...you probably will be okay with the 2:30 time!

Of course, I may be a little biased but I think SBP is beautiful regardless of the time of day!;)

We got married at the 2:30 time slot and it was perfect and definitely recommend it! We were able to do our Epcot photoshoot that morning and got back to our room at 11 am, had a light lunch and just touched up for the actual wedding. It was really nice and bright for our wedding with clear blue skies (We got married on May 12th). It was the perfect time for us since I'm not a huge morning person, so I didn't look half asleep in the pics! :goodvibes

We are getting married at 10am on September 16 at SBP. We chose this time because of the heat factor and the fact we wanted to have time to go to a park with the kids later that day. There are only 6 of us at the wedding (4 kids and us). We are having a dinner at WCC later that night so we are not having a formal reception.

We were married in December at 2:30pm at SBP. And even in December I was hot. It was 80 degrees and a little humid and very sunny. I live in Florida and have all my life and I see people on here say all the time what great weather May and October has but it is very humid here in those months. We pretty much consider summer here May- October. It is even starting to get super hot in April. Each year summer seems to be starting earlier and earlier for us. While I think the 2;30pm spot was perfect for us, I would personally choose a morning time if I was getting married in October. JMO.

SBP is beautiful anytime of day though so good luck!

Thanks for your input girl! I'm starting to think maybe 2:30 would be better... but it all depends on our after ceremony events. I am sending out STD's to the people we want at the ceremony and i'm asking for a tentative head count so that i can try and figure out what would be the best option of us.

Ours was at 3:00 pm in March. Originally I wanted 5:00 pm but our EM said it would be difficult to get our dinner reservation for YSH for 11 people after the ceremony. We went with the 3:00 pm and 5:30 dinner reservation was perfect timing.

We've gone for 1000 in December. It may be a bit chilly but we picked that time to squeeze every second out of the day.

We have a 1000 ceremony, followed by lunch at 1300, play in Epcot afterwards until 1900 for dinner and then Illuminations.

My OH is not a morning person but he will be on that day :goodvibes
