As we say goodbye to 2006, how about sharing your most funny event, your favorite story or something good that happened to you or your family/friends this past year.

Best wishes to all for a safe, happy, healthy 2007.

I will always remember this year for my Disney trip in June...it was my first weeklong trip, and my first time at POR...it felt like my first on site stay, even though technically it wasn't...but anyway!

And my DH and I bought a house!!!

It's been a crazy, nutty year!!

Taking my DD, her DH, and my DGD to Disney World in December.. Definitely the highlight of my year.. LOL

I could drop dead tomorrow, and I'd be "good"...:thumbsup2

My nephew got married! He is the first in that "generation" of our family to marry and it was really exciting.

The bride's dad gave us the keys to the car where all of their luggage was waiting and my sisters and I (all except the grooms mom) took all of their underwear out! I know it sounds stupid, but it was one of those times when the whole family was just having a good time together. So they got to their honeymoon and found out that they had no undies!

Going to Disney World this past year, which was my first trip there since 1994. It was the only travel that I was able to do this year.

Praises to God that my Matt made it through another deployment and was brought back to me in Sept of this year. He made it home in time for my birthday and the holidays, our annv and a 2 week trip to disney world and universal studios.

DH and I actually went to WDW twice this year!!!!

Visiting daughter and son-in-law in Hawaii in February for 3 weeks and having a marvelous time.

Going to Disneyland with son in Aug.

Leaving my job of 9 years for another State Agency and getting a promotion!

Becoming a Grandmother!

I saw dd15 go on her first real date. Standing on the balcony of AKL, I saw them at the Arusha Rock holding hands and walking together. It was so bitter sweet for me. I was glad to get to get this glimpse into such a precious memory in the making for her.. but at the same time, my baby was growing up before my eyes!!!

One good thing that happened, for months my husband complained of chest pains & shortness of breath. Docs couldn't find anything wrong. Finally found he had constrictive pericarditius. After a nerve-wracking few days in the hospital, he had surgery, then more tense days after in ICU & recovery but it was a success. Afraid of what could have happened if they hadn't finally discovered the problem.

In Nov. we took our very first trip to WDW. It was a wonderful
trip for DH, DD13 & I. It was the most relaxed I've felt in a very
long time. Even though we were busy alot of the time.

My two trips to WDW this past year, my new position with work and our pregnancy, which we look forward to meeting our new son in the New Year.

Because of the WISH board i did the WDW Half marathon last January. It was my first athletic event in 30+ years and a great experience.

Seeing my youngest son (10 months at the time) interact with Mickey on our Oct. trip. He stood by himself for the first time and dove into Mickey's arms. Everytime we saw Mickey, he would just scream out Mickey and kiss all over him. At the character meals, I would have to clean off Mickey's face before he left.

Praises to God that my Matt made it through another deployment and was brought back to me in Sept of this year. He made it home in time for my birthday and the holidays, our annv and a 2 week trip to disney world and universal studios.

That brought tears to my eyes Tina:hug:

We spent our first trip away from the kids at Disney in February. We had so much fun that we decided to return in May without them again! We returned in late November but brought them along that time. So 3 Disney trips in one year ain't so bad!

06 was a 'once in a lifetime' year for me...
I got married and had two babies (not twins) in 2006.

I got engaged on August 1st, 2006. I will be married on June 14th, 2008! :bride:
