Ok, so this is probably a long shot, but have any UK brides used this company at all?

They're a photo booth hire service, and I'm thinking of booking them as a surprise for our at home reception, and they're extremely reasonably priced compared to Booth Nation, and I'm still awaiting a quote from Booth Box.

I'm just worried that I can't find any reviews or other information on them - I only found them through a link someone posted on a UK wedding forum discussion when I googled photo booth hire.....

If anyone has any reports on them I'd be truely grateful :thumbsup2

Just as an additional note, Booth Box have now got back to me and are a similar price to Booth Nation, well over the £1,000 mark.

Say Fromage are around a third of the cost, and although they don't have the automatic print out feature of a normal photo booth, they can set up a printer to do photo quality 6x4" prints for £100 for up to 100 photos, and £25 for any 100 following that.

Booth Nation also wanted to charge additional trasnsport costs!

The chap I've been emailing at Say Fromage seems nice, and they only want £75 deposit up front, with the rest due on the actual day, so do you think it's worth the gamble?? Worst I can do is lose the £75.........

Have you looked into the company? Are they relatively new and that is why there is no reviews? You could always ask them if they have recieved any thank you letter etc and ask them to forward them to you, if that would be any reassurance.

Other than that if I was you I think that the deposit is a good price, pay on you're credit card so you are insured if anything goes wrong...but I would just book it, it sounds like you feel comfortable with the guy you spoke to so take the risk and save yourself a bob or two!:)

There's not a huge amount of information on the website as to how long the company have been around or anything - all the photos on there are copyrighted 2008, but then I think I read somewhere that your photos are only online for 6 months, so they would all be 2008 anyway, but I'm thinking they may be a relatively new venture.
I don't really like to ask them for references, I don't want them to feel I don't trust them.
I need to find out what payment options there are, see if I'd be able to pay on my credit card.
I'm just waiting to hear back from our venue at the moment, checking they don't have any problems with us hiring the booth, then I think perhpas I'll just go for it.
Thanks for the advice :goodvibes

The deposit needs to be sent by cheque or by bank transfer to a personal bank account - is this normal or should I be concerned there isn't a business account??

if the deposit is only a small amount then I saygo for it. if not dont. is the balance due on the night?? if they dont turn up then you have only lost the deposit

By all means ask for references! These people are not your friends, they are a business. In fact if they are unable or unwilling to give you references, thats should definitely raise some red flags.
