HI All ~ We only have one day to visit DL [no time for DCA]. My favorite thing is just walking around WDW MK....say it takes me about one hour to just walk around WDW MK, how long would you say it would take me to walk about DL?

Is it as big as WDW MK or closer to DHS in Florida? Thanks! S

Just walk don't go on any rides? Are you stopping to look at anything or just cruising through?

As far as Physical land is concerned, I think I read somewhere that DL is something like 30% smaller than MK. With the exception of critter country and Toontown, there isn't a lot of back tracking needed to walk a majority of the park (Personally, I enjoy starting in Adventureland and finishing in Tomorrowland). I suppose I could see walking that route in about an hour at a leasurly pace but I personally couldn't do it that quick.

I have to say, I have never, ever done this so I have no idea how long it would take. Humm... I would love to pretend I could wander the whole park without getting on rides.

I don't think it would take an hour to walk around MK if you did so without any stops or crowd jams. DL is smaller but not that much as far as walking is concerned. If you were going on all the rides and lines were not an issue DL would take longer than MK as there are more attractions at DL.

The park DL is smaller than the MK at DW but that said you have to take a lot more people and jam them into the lot less space, so a leisurely stroll is not something you can really do unless it is totally off season.

And liiiiiinnnnneeeesssss....at least when we were there! At MK the only long line was Astro Orbiters. Thank heaven my boys are old enough that they agreed that we will never wait in a line to ride that thing again!

At DL, there was a line for everydangedthing! We waited over an hour for Peter Pan and about 90 minutes for Dumbo. It got to the point where I called the game on account of insanity and we went to watch the Snow White shoe and then for lunch at the Golden Horseshoe...there wasn't a ride to be found that had less than a 30 minute wait.

The two times we've been to WDW we've never had a problem with lines. Even things like Dumbo and Peter Pan were danged near walk-ons. We had to wait maybe 10 minutes at the most.

There's way less walking at DL, but if you're riding rides it'll take you way more time!

You must have been during a very busy time. Rarely are all lines over 30 minutes. The last time I have seen those lines was NYE and that was bonkers!!!

Dumbo and Peter Pan are a HUGE deal at the park and Peter Pan seems to be a slow loader so it has long lines almost all of the time. But many rides like POTC, HM, Buzz, and other fast loaders rarely get over 20 minutes on normal days. Most of the times these rides are even 15 minutes and less.

BTW the day I went to MK was insane and we had the same issue you did, lines, lines and more lines!!! It was extra tough since we only had one day at WDW. But we worked with it all the best we could.
