No appetizers or gratuity now for the basic DDP (since January 1, 2008) and the price went down a grand total of.......$1.00/day. Now for $70.00/day you can get the DxDDP which includes three meals/day (your choice of TS or CS), two snacks, and a resort mug. The DxDDP does include the appetizer, but alas gratuity is still not included.

Yep. This info came out last August before I booked our February trip. Luckily I read these boards so I knew what to expect. My TA was clueless when I mentioned the changes to her. We still used the DDP and enjoyed our "almost" all-inclusive vacation!

True of the basic dining plan as of January 1, 2008.

As mentioned, there is now a Deluxe Dining Plan that includes a table service appetizer (among other things such as higher flexibility on use of the meal credits plus a refillable resort mug) for a higher cost. This also does not include the gratuities.

The premium and platinum plans (include dining, tours, resort recreation) also don't include tips.
