I'm afraid it's true. It'll be closed until June 26th. They are doing a major refurbishment and adding characters from the movie.

Oh I definitely feel your pain! I have not been to Disneyland in over 30 years. I always go to WDW. I am scheduled to be at DL this week and that is the one ride I was truly looking forward to. Grrrr.

We are missing it too, by five days no less! I rode WDW's a couple of weeks ago to get a minor fix, but it just isn't the same. Kind of like having to settle for instant ice tea instead of the real thing! Sorry you are missing it too, you just need to go back again when its up and running!

Unfortunately, it's totally true. This is why we booked for August, rather than May. My 2.5 year old ds wouldn't make it if we missed Pirates. It's his favorite ride!

If it makes you feel any better, when we went last year, for the first time as a family, Space Mountain was closed. That was one all us grownups were looking forward to. I can't wait to ride it this time!!
