DH has been unemployed since August 08. He has had 2 interviews at one place in the last week and on the 2nd interview, he saw 3 managers over the course of the interview. Great salary, benefits, paid training!
Please say a prayer for him! He really needs this job and I need him out of the house before I kill him!

Sending some your way. My sister's DH has been out of full-time work since August, 2008 too. He was able to get a part-time job about two months ago, but obviously still really, really wants full-time. We all have our fingers crossed for him too.

Just ask my Mom, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in November. She will tell you the cancer has actually been a BLESSING!!! It has strengthened her faith & made her a much better person. And, she's inspired me, along with everyone around her, to become better people. Although losing a job has to be difficult, I'm sure the OP's DH has done much soul-searching throughout his time off.

Well, I'm not religous myself, but i understand some people need or have that support.

But honestly, best wishes to your family and I hope that he really gets a job soon, one of my parents was unemployed for a bit and it was hard. Though, we live in England so we got some help, though not enough.

Hope you get through this okay. We all have our means of support, and we should be respectful to one another.

Good thoughts to your family. I hope he gets it. My DH has been out of work since Sept 08 so I know how you feel. He had a temporary job in Dec but they let him go the day after Christmas. At least I have a job that pays the bills and has insurance so we squeak by. I want mine out of the house too. The only good thing about him being home is that he brings me to work so I don't have to find a parking place on campus.

I read the thread before I decided to post...so won't even address any of the remarks (the ones uncalled for) Since you asked for a prayer I will pray for you and your family and please pray for ours, I have been unemployed since Aug 2009.

Op- sending lots of good wishes your way.

My DH was unemployed from May 2007 until July 2009. He began a new job just a month before our 2 week trip to Floridalast summer. Since we were all off (or so I thought!), I had planned an extended trip and interspersed non park days to make it a totally different experience from what we had done in the past. Luckily, my DH's new employer was willing to work with us and we didn't have to cancel or alter our plans.
