Saw something on ebay that disturbs me

Don't worry too much about this. I have a friend who was a CM at wdw and while at dlr one of her friends decided to where his cm name tag at the park. Quickly he was told to take off the name tag or he would be asked to leave. There is little chances someone would enter the park as a guest wearing a cm name tag and not be told to take it off.

I have two name tags...one for DL and the other for WDW...each one was purchased DIRECTLY from DL & MK...they have my name only on it and I wear them ALL THE TIME to the parks...the CM tags have the name of the city that the CM originates from in addition to their name...I have never been asked to remove my name tag...the CMs know I'm wearing a guest name tag...and most CMs have called me by my name when I approach an attraction...surprisingly no one has ever asked me for directions or questions about the parks...yes I get the looks in line from other guests, wondering IF I'm an employee or just a crazy Disney fan...but I guess in this age, parents should be over-protected about who childern should speak to if they get lost at the parks...the CMs will be in costume with their proper employee name tag on them...

So back to the Ops comment about child safety. I have 5 daughters and we've taught our daughters to notice the uniforms in each land and the different stores. Telling them that those are the people she needs to look for and she can can ask them for help. She can always walk in to a store and up to a register and ask for help. But most importantly we've taught our girls to stand in place and yell out our first names not Mom and Dad when they first loose sight of us. It's all about teaching them to stay calm and what to do in case it happens. You can't help what people are going to do out there. We have to educate our children instead it's our best tool against creepy people no matter where you are. :)

Excellent post mom, great plan to follow, especially the part about calling out the first names, I never thought of that. Thank you.

You're very welcome! The thought actually came to me on the playground when I taught preschool! Teachers often brought classes outside for combined outside time. Our kids used to like to yell out Teacher! Teacher! But if there's more then one teacher out that was useless. So instead we had to teach them to call out Miss Linda and Miss Suzie! Especially if it was an emergency! So it just made since when we were talking to our girls about "safety" while on vacation. ;)
