My niece and I did this tour in May and it was wonderful; it will spoil you for the regular safari tour. We spent about 20 minutes pulled over at the giraffes getting a close-up view and also pulled over to talk to one of the animal specialists working in the field. Highly recommended! Is the vehicle the same as the one on the ride and just as easy to get on/off ?

We did it last October and loved it. We were with about 10 other people and 2 guides. As we did the beginning of the safari we met a guide who told us all about several animals who have been there for a while and how they interact with them. We had a great dinner out on the savanna with several interesting courses, great drinks, and an amazing view. There was another guide at the deck where we ate and the guides pointed interesting things out and kept the conversations going throughout dinner. Giraffes and several other animals were all right there. It was a really fun experience and I would definitely do it again.

Not exactly the same but very easy to get on and off.
