Savings: Non-Orlando Airports

With the cost of airfare going up... I have started looking at other airports in the area (e.g. Tampa - TPA).

Anyone else fly in to other airports?

Perhaps rent a car and drive from TPA -> WDW, and then turn in your car...
... then rent it on day of departure from WDW -> TPA?

Are their other close airports?

TPA has been posting about $50 less pp on AA.com

We have flown into TPA a few times and rented a car for one day. We have also flown into TPA and flown out of MCO.
