Hey everyone! I was just wondering what are some good ways to earn points that I can use towards my Disney trip next year, aside from the obvious Aerplan/Airmiles. I was wondering if anyone knows of any reward points systems that Canadians can take advantage of that specifically involve Disney or Universal? Or, if anyone knows of any viable online surveys companies that might reward you with Disney giftcards or points to use towards park tickets, etc.

I have tried searching a little but it seems mostly geared towards Americans.

Thanks in advance!

I use Quickrewards which was promoted on the disboards. It gives Disney gift cards for surveys. You have to commit the time to trying surveys - and only a select are available to Canadians. If you shop online, there are some Cdn stores that you can also get credit for.

However, when I started a couple years ago, they offered a penny for every survey attempted - it worked out to $1 per week just to try! It added up regularly. Then last March, it went down to a quarter a penny per survey. Now there are no incentives. So, I've only earned $50 in 6 months when I used to do that in less than half the time -- and that's committing an hour a day to it.

Maybe a round about way...

My Credit and Debit cards get me points for the Grocery Store (Dh's get points that can be redeemed for travel and/or gift certificates like Costco, Petro Canada, etc). We use our cards to get points - that then free up extra $$ in the budget for putting towards our vacations.

DH's CC we can use to book hotels - but we wanted to stay on-site - so we have used it for some other incidental nights away that we would still be taking and don't have to pay cash for them.

I use swagbucks to earn Paypal $ which I save up for our trip. I've got a bunch of friends in the US and as soon as I have enough, I'm going to get one of them to go to Target to get Disney Gift Cards using their REDcard and get 5% off then mail them to me. :)

I pay for everything that costs more than $10 with my Avion Visa card (and pay off the balance every month). The accumulated points go towards airfare and hotels. This leaves money in the bank for things like tickets and dining. If I wanted, I could also convert points into gift cards. DH travels frequently and accumulates loyalty points with a couple of hotel chains. Usually this is enough for several free nights yearly. We don't use these nights for Disney vacations, but it is still allowing us to leave that money in the bank for other uses.
