can anyone tell me what the rough price is for magicbands at the outlets ??
I wanted to use our old ones but my youngest doesn't have one, so may either only buy her one or get us all new ones.
I can't afford a new full priced one at the parks and we always visit the outlets before heading to our onsite accommodations, so would like to work out what I need for the budget now.

also do they always have some available there or is it a gamble?

Just to check-- are you talking about Magic Bands, or the Magic Bands+?
Not sure about the outlets... If you're comfortable doing so, you might be able to find on on eBay or something like that. Good luck!

It can be hit or miss if the character warehouse has Magicband+. I have gotten 2 from there and they were $19.99. They don’t really have non plus ones anymore. You can also get them at a reduced price from WDW website if have a room book. The options vary but the solid color MB+ are around $25 and themed ones start $ 35. So you get around $10 bucks off full price.

Also, FWIW-- you don't actually need a magic band at the parks. You can use your smart phone or Apple Watch instead of a MB, so maybe you can reassign your band to your youngest. And they still do the Key to the World card, which maybe isn't as fun but is still functional.

Note: post was modified to strike through incorrect information.

You cannot reassign MBs.

OP I would just use the old MBs for everyone else and purchase one for the youngest. Or I would let the youngest wear an old MB but get a key card for her ticket and Lightning Lanes.

Yep, you are right. Thanks for clarifying!

If you are looking for the older MagicBand (as opposed to the newer MagicBand+):

I don't know if you would find them even at the outlets.

In November 2023, they were no longer sold in the theme park shops. Some hotel gift shops still had them.

In August 2024, I did not even see them in hotel gift shops.

I don't know what the time lag is between pulling an item from the shelves and sending the item to the outlets.

If you are staying at a Disney resort, and you see a MagicBand that you can buy online due to your resort reservation, you might want to grab it (if you don't hate the design), if you don't want a MagicBand+.

Thanks for the info!

The Disney Store has 25% off everything right now, so if anybody still needs magic bands, they are currently on sale.

Edited to add: I’m sorry…Magic bands are one of many exclusions to this sale.

We just used the old ones but in hindsight I would have bought just one of the new ones. Honestly one is more than enough to be able to do the interactive stuff in Galaxy edge. As a family of 6 to buy it for everyone was just not something I wanted to do.
