I know I've seen this on the DIS before, but not sure if it was in here or not, and I know I can use a good, fairly easy way to save money on our big trip!

For all of the custom brides out there, and any other brides that happen to have an annual pass, you can get discounts at a lot of Disney owned restaurants, and a few others in DTD not owned by Disney. The discount is usually 10% off for up to 4 people with each annual pass.

If you want to save even more money, annual passholders can also buy the Disney Dining experience card and save 20% for up to 10 people per meal at most Disney owned restaurants.

If you want to know more, all of the details are on mousesavers. I think this will save us a lot of money in April, and for those of you who thought you might not get much use out of annual passes, here's a way to get more out of the great gift you got from Disney!

Hope this saves some other people some money too! :tinker:

Thought I would add my tip on here too if you don't mind?

I am an intimate bride, so we did not receive the annual pass gift, but what we are planning on doing to save some money, is we have Signature or table service ADR's for each night of our trip. We plan to order an appetizer, entree, and dessert to split between the two of us. Disney's portions tend to be on the larger side at some restaurants. This was we can get full with out being so stuffed we can't enjoy the parks, but at the same time saving $30.00 - $40.00 per meal! Just a thought!

Similar to what TinkBride said, we are planning on eating at table service restaurants sparingly. Like she said, the portions are HUGE and you can't exactly take leftovers home with you. So we're going to eat at casual, counter places during the day, have a nice big meal when appropriate, and try not to gain back all the weight I will have (hopefully) lost by then!

If you have the annual pass. Pay the extra money for the Disney Dining Experience card. It will save you 20% off of food and drink (including alcohol.)

We had an Intimate too, but as Florida residents and Passholders we got a good price on the Disney Dining Experience (DDE) card and we got it specifically for the wedding. We saved several hundred dollars between the rehearsal dinner, day-after brunch, and our own dining for our Disneymoon. We used it the rest of the year and because we had it, we ate at a lot more table service restaurants than we normally would. We did not renew the DDE this year because we prefer to do what TinkBride and purplegirl247 said, we split counter service meals. For lunch we can get the chicken fingers and fries, split that, and we are full. We also are not big soda pop drinkers and Disney gives water for free. We're used to the tap water here in Florida and don't need the bottled stuff! But if you are planning a lot of table service meals, the DDE is a great way to go :thumbsup2
