I consider myself pretty thrifty (the wife calls me tight) but I canceled Sirius the other day because the tee'd me off ($27 per month), the wife canceled Netflex cause the movies never get watched ($18 per month), ad thinking about getting rid of Tivo as we have 2 of them and really only use one ($13 per month).

That is almost 60 bucks a month that we have been blowing for no reason.

It is funny how we sometimes look for 50 cents off for a box of cereal but don't really think about the big ticket items.

I hear ya. I read that book Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. It kind of brings that sort of awareness to everyday spending. I dont totally follow his plan but it sets you in the right direction. You should check the book out it is pretty interesting.

I totally get this. DH and I often say 50 cents is 50 cents, it adds up.
For instance, stop for a coffee drink once a day $4.00, 5 days a week. That's $20 a week, $1,040 a year :scared1: It's amazing how fast 'small expenses' add up.
