saved over $400!!

hey everyone. i'm really excited about this that i have to share the good news with you all. rob and i are having our reception at the atlantic dance hall. our menu has a lot of good food but there were some items that we wanted scratched off the menu. we had a feeling that certain items wouldn't be touched. our menu costed $70 per person.

so, one day while on the phone with my EM, Ms. Valerie Reko, I made a mention to her that I wanted some items taken off the menu. she said i could do it so i told her what i wanted scratched off the menu.

she called me up yesterday to give me the new menu price. everyone hold onto your hats: our new menu is now $55 a person!!!!!!!! even though it's a $15 difference, i saved us over $400. well $465 to be exact.

i'm so excited about this. every saved penny helps. now we can use that extra money for a fancy dinner at victoria and albert's. i just wanted to tell everyone the good news.

for the atlantic dance hall, the overall minimum is $1,500, which consists of food, drink, etc. we definitely meet the minimum so we have nothing to worry about.

We are having our reception at ADH also. Our minimum expenditure is higher ($7,500) because our reception ends after 5PM. That said, I was under the impression that we would have to meet both the ADH minimum, and the DFTW minimum of $100 pp. By the time we added the bar package, the cocktail hour, and the cake we more then exceeded the minimum. You may want to double check if you are required to hit both minimums.
