Saved on March car rental today!

I've been watching car rentals for 3/27 - 4/5 (9 days) for weeks now so I could get our rate for a standard or full-size down from $236 at Avis. Finally, today using Contract ID and Entertainement Book coupon codes I got a standard-sized car from National for $185.48 with all fees!

Strange thing though, when I signed on as an Emerald Isle member and started entering dates etc. a message popped up saying "no Emerald Aisle service at location requested". Yet my confirmation says differently. Guess the "no EA" is an error.

I'll keep checking and hoping I can get it down even further when the specials ending 2/15 are replaced.

We just saved over $100 for our February car rental. I couldn't get the rate down for our March/Arpril trip. Luckily, we have a pretty good rate, considering it right in the peak time. Gotta love those codes!

We will probably be renting from Avis. Does anyone know if Avis has a setup similar to National where you can bypass the counter and just go straight out to your car. I like to save time wherever I can and it would be great not to have to stand in line. I'm sure all of us know how precious vacation time is!
