I booked a car rental through costco several months ago for our trip Decmeber 2-7. Got a good deal, 160 for a full sized for six days. Playing around this am and priced it again, and this time got 130 for the trip. (ok only 30 but still I can use that money elsewhere.)
Pays to keep checking...

I love using costco to rent cars. Last year we ended up with a suburban, 10 days for $550! Score!!!

This year I booked a van back in april for our trip in 9 DAYS! :yay: for our 10 day trip. I booked it at $690 which was the best deal I could find at the time. I checked back weekly and about a month ago I got it all the way down to $256! SCORE! Over $400 saved, I couldn't believe it. I am still checking back until the day I leave but the prices went up but still. It does pay to keep checking :)

Just yesterday, I made a reservation for our upcoming trip. From our home airport (we're driving), we're getting a premium for a week for $123 out the door. I found a good price on costco.com, clicked on the details and saw that it was applying the costco rate and a $15 off coupon. So, I copied the costco rate code, plugged it in on alamo.com and then added an entertainment.com code for $20 off. Saved me an extra few $, but also let me know that I can combine the (higher) costco discount with an entertainment.com coupon code (which I thought was cool). Plus, the costco discount also includes a free second driver.

WOW! I had no idea that you could combine discounts! Now I'll have to go try that. Thanks for the info!:cool1:

I am going to try to combine as well. We have a car booked for December 16th to 22nd and I'd love a less expensive rate!
