You can easily save money!

This is how you can save some money when you order food. If you are having a meal that's $8.99 with a side, and you don't want that side, you can save possibly $2 from not having that side. The person that you are telling for what to order won't just say "do you want this side?", they won't say that. I have done this a few times and saved some money. I saved about $20 from this method on my latest trip!

I hope this will help you save some $$$! Enjoy :-)

I assume you are talking about restaurants at Disney and not just restaurants in general. I know most of my "Local" restaurants won't do this.

To that end, however, sometimes it's important to really look at your menu. (not necessarily at Disney, but anywhere.)

As an example, my DW orders her meal and comes with a side (soup, salad or fries, baked potato, etc...) but she wants Fries AND soup.

So she orders her meal with fries, then she also asks for a bowl of soup. No worries, right? She pays 9.89 for the meal (sandwich and fries) plus 3.49 for the soup. Total $13.38. However if she ordered the same meal with the side of a SOUP (with the meal) and then added on an side order of fries, the meal and soup was still 9.89, but the side of fries was only 2.49 so the total was $12.38. saving a dollar (plus in PA 6 cents tax, plus 15 - 20 cents towards the tip)

Another example: We were at a restaurant. (Perkins) and I wanted breakfast. Being mindful of costs and the selections. I really couldn't find a meal I wanted. (I really wanted 2 or 3 eggs, sausage AND bacon and perhaps some toast). They had a similar breakfast that came close for just under $10. (I think it was like 9.99 or something lie that.)

Instead I found for $4.00 I could order a single egg (any style) choice of a side of bacon or sausage AND a choice of toast or buttermilk pancakes. So I ordered 1 of these with bacon and toast and then another one with sausage and pancakes. I paid $8.00 saving about $2.00 (plus 12 cents tax and between 30 and 40 cents towards tip). Oh yeah, Perkins gives a 10% discount for AAA too.

You'd be surprised how often you can make a better meal from ala cart and cheaper and don't always opt for the ones with the "Nice Picture" in the menu.
