Save the Dates from Disney

I do not have a letter of agreement so my save the dates have not been sent out yet. I have guests that would like to book their rooms now. I know the STD's have the hotel rates on them but do they also have a discount code that must be used when booking? I guess my question is: should they book their rooms now a pay the full night's deposit or should they wait for the STD's?

My WP told me that the rooms in the block wouldn't be available until the save the dates went out. If they book now, they will have to change the reservation through the group ressie people later. The rooms in your block are guaranteed to be available for your guests, so it would make more sense for them to wait for the STDs

I know what you mean. I should be getting my letter of agreement on monday. And all my guests want to book the hotels now, but I told them they have to wait until the packet gets sent out. I need to reserve 75 room nights

I will tell everyone to wait to book their rooms. I have already booked my room, parents, and FIL's room so I guess I will have to change these reservations later. Do I just call and give the discount code and they will change it for me?

Autumnbride, I think I am losing my mind already with this wedding planning! Of course I have rooms blocked so there is no need for them to panic and try to book them before the save the dates come. Thanks!

You will have to change your reservations later. The number for group reservations is different than the regular booking number - it will be on the STDs and your wedding website. Just call it and they will tell you what to do - it is possible that you will have to cancel the original and re-book through group reservations, but I'm not sure. When we changed ours to get the AP rate we had to cancel with group reservations and book the AP through the regular folks. It is a bit of a hassle, but not a big deal

Don't lose your mind yet - you have way too much time left. The real crazy period is the last week! LOL!
