Save the date questions?

I know disney sends out their own save the dates; we have decided to send save the date magnets that my little brother designed for us (he is a graphic designer). I'm in the process of getting them ready to be sent out with our first newsletter.

My question is do i just address it to the person & guest or just the person??

We addressed them to person and guest. I wanted to make sure my single friends knew they could bring someone to the wedding well in advance so they could have time to make travel plans as need be.
