Save the date card question

Hi Girls,
In about two weeks I am FINALLY signing contracts with Disney for our upcoming wedding!!!
(after I enter the rest of the save the dates into the computer)FUN,FUN! I know we receive the contracts and sign, then a copy is returned with AP's-Can't wait, ours are getting ready to expire. But, that's really all I know about the process. Also, I hear you guys talking about a planning kit. I was wondering what is in there to help plan? Thank you for your help!

Well, I am almost finished putting everyones info into the computer for Disney to send out the Save the Dates. I was wondering if Disney gives you extra copies of your STD cards. A few family members have just moved, and I haven't been able to get ahold of their new addresses, but I don't want to hold up sending the contract info to my planner. TIA!!!!

they do send you extra copies of the std's...also, the planning kit includes a cd with samples of music, the cake dvd and pricing for cakes/groom cakes!

Thanks Caryn! That's exactly what I needed to know. I am going to go ahead and send the info to Joe, and I can send out extra copies when I get updated addresses. Also, I apprciate the info about the planning kit. I can't wait to see the grooms cakes!!!

there is a thread on here somewhere that shows all the cakes, i think the groom cakes are on there as well...

Do they annual passes come when you sign the contract or when you get married there. I ask because when our contracts need to be signed my df will be living very far away from me for about 5 months. We wouldnt be able to use them until he moved back a few months before the wedding. Thanks for the info.

they send you ap vouchers that you can activate whenever you want. they send them with the final contract!

Do you get the Save the Dates with Escape Weddings or only Wishes?

I believe that intimates do not get save the dates, but I am not a 100% sure on that.

I'm an escape and I did get a planning kit, but it's not nearly as extensive as what you receive for a wishes wedding. My planner actually emailed mine to me. since the cake is already included, there's no cake cd with pictures. It consisted of the planning worksheets to basically list everything out and one color page of the floral choices. We all know that even with an escape wedding, you can go beyond what's included in the package. But, it showed the 5 basic types of bouquets and bouts. included. hth.

Oh thats ashame, I would have liked to have seen all the extra bits-at least so I had more of a idea if I did want to uprade my cake etc, oh well Im sure I will still manage to spend WAY WAY over my budget!
